Meet Lucy, Our Practicioner

Lucy Dixon is a certified Art Therapy Practitioner and also holds a Master’s degree in Library and Information Science. She feels the combination of these two pursuits lends itself to a truly holistic approach to exploration in wellbeing. Her approach blends creativity, empathy, and a deep understanding of how art can support emotional well-being and self-discovery.

As an artist, Lucy’s style leans toward impressionism, with a particular love for watercolor. “Watercolor has a mind of its own,” she says. “It’s a collaboration between the paint and the artist, often with the paint in charge.”

In her art therapy sessions, Lucy offers a wide variety of materials to support self-expression, including paints, pencils, pastels, markers, textiles, clay, and natural elements. All sessions are led using guided imagery and relevant materials. The atmosphere is informal, with the focus upon relaxation and introspection.
